Psychology originated in the study of the more troubled aspects of the human mind. Humanistic psychology made a significant leap forward in attempting to study healthy minds and what makes them healthy. About Meredith Sprunger

Meredith Sprunger was a minister in the United Church of Christ and a college professor. He served congregations in the US Midwest and taught at Elmhurst College and the Indiana Institute of Technology, functioning as the head of the Department of Psychology, Chair of the Division of Liberal Arts, and President.

For many years he was involved as a counselor and psychological consultant, holding a Private Practice Certificate in Psychology in the state of Indiana. He served as Editor of The Spiritual Fellowship Journal, an ecumenical publication.
